How to check whether a monitor arm will fit your desk and display
Monitor-arm compatibility has three separate parts: the display, the arm, and the desk. All three have to match.

Check VESA mounting
Look for the mounting pattern on the monitor or its manual. Common patterns include 75 × 75 mm and 100 × 100 mm, but do not assume.
Check monitor weight
Use the display weight without its factory stand and stay within the arm manufacturer's supported range.
Check the desk edge
Measure desktop thickness, rear clearance, and whether an apron, drawer, cable tray, or wall blocks the clamp.
Check movement space
A deep gas-spring arm can need surprising space behind the display. Small desks close to a wall benefit from arms that can fold back compactly.
